Minimum Wages Notification of Central Sphere by Chief Labour Commissioner 2018-2019

Minimum wages of central sphere have been revised in the month of April 2018. These revised wages will be applicable for the 1st half of 2018-19 i.e. from 1st April 2018 to 30th September 2018. The Notification pdf of revised minimum wages is released by the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India.

Following are the current minimum wages of central sphere for the workers employed in different employments –

Central Minimum Wages for Employees working in the “Employment of Sweeping and Cleaning” –

Area A – Rs. 553

Are B – Rs. 462

Area C – Rs. 370

For employees employed in WATCH AND WARD (without arms) –

Area A – Rs. 653

Are B – Rs. 593

Area C – Rs. 506

For employees employed in WATCH AND WARD (with arms) –

Area A – Rs. 732

Are B – Rs. 673

Area C – Rs. 612

Central Government Minimum Wages For the workers employed in AGRICULTURE –

For Employees employed in LOADING AND UNLOADING

Following are the minimum wages for those employed in Loading and Unloading  in (i) GOODS SHEDS, PARCEL OFFICES OF RAILWAYS, (ii) OTHER GOODS-SHEDS, GO-DOWNS, WAREHOUSES AND OTHER SIMILAR EMPLOYMENTS; (iii) DOCKS AND PORTS; AND (iv) PASSENGER GOODS AND CARGO CARRIED OUT AT AIRPORTS (BOTH INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC) –

Area A – Rs. 553

Are B – Rs. 462

Area C – Rs. 370

Central Government Minimum Wages for workers employed in MINES

Below are the minimum wages revised by Chief Labour Commissioner, for workers employed in Gypsum Mines, Barytes Mines, Bauxite Mines, Manganese Mines, China Clay Mines, Kyanite Mines, Copper Mines, Clay Mines, Magnesite Mines, White Clay Mines, Stone Mines, Steatite Mines (including the mines producing Soap Stone and Talc), Ochre Mines, Asbestos Mines, Fire Clay Mines, Chromite Mines, Quartzite Mines, Quartz Mines, Sllica Mines, Graphite Mines, Felspar Mines, Laterite Mines, Dolomite Mlnes, Red Oxide Mines, Wolfram Mines lron Ore Mines, Granite Mines Rock Phosphate Mines, Hematite Mines, Marble and Calcite Mines, Uranium Mines, Mica Mines, Lignite  Mines, Gravel Mines, Slate Mines and Magnetite Mines –

Minimum wages for those employed in Construction or Maintenance of ROADS OR RUNWAYS OR IN BUILDING OPERATIONS INCLUDING LAYING DOWN UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC, WIRELESS, RADIO, TELEVISION , TELEPHONE TELEGRAPH, AND OVERSEAS COMMUNICATION CABLES AND SIMILAR OTHER UNDERGROUND CABLING WORK, ELECTRIC LINES, WATER SUPPLY LINES AND SEWAGE PIPE LINES

The minimum wages of central sphere are valid till 30 September 2018. The Chief Labour Commissioner will again revise the minimum wages with effect from 1st October 2018 and it will be applicable for second half of FY 2018-19.
