Madhya Pradesh Minimum Wages 2020 Notification Shops & Commercial Establishment

Madhya Pradesh Minimum wages are revised in the months of April & October every year. The latest revision has happened in the month of April 2020 and the revised wages are applicable w.e.f. 1st April 2020. The notification pdf of revision of minimum wages in MP, states that the revised wages are applicable till 30 September 2020.

The latest minimum wages in Madhya Pradesh (MP ) are provided below –

Madhya Pradesh Minimum wages – Shops & Commercial establishment, Residential Hotel and Theatre

Unskilled – Rs. 8275 per month (i.e. Rs. 6500 Basic + Rs. 1775 Dearness Allowance)

Semi Skilled – Rs. 9132 per month (i.e. Rs. 7057 Basic + Rs. 2075 Dearness Allowance)

Skilled – Rs. 10510 per month (i.e. Rs. 8435 Basic + Rs. 2075 Dearness Allowance)

Highly Skilled – Rs. 11,810 per month (i.e. Rs. 9735 Basic + Rs. 2075 Dearness Allowance)

Madhya Pradesh Minimum Wages for Factory

OR for Any Establishment in which manufacturing activity as defined under section 2 (K) of the Factories Act is carried out

Unskilled – Rs. 8275 per month (i.e. Rs. 6500 Basic + Rs. 1775 Dearness Allowance)

Semi Skilled – Rs. 9132 per month (i.e. Rs. 7057 Basic + Rs. 2075 Dearness Allowance)

Skilled – Rs. 10510 per month (i.e. Rs. 8435 Basic + Rs. 2075 Dearness Allowance)

Highly Skilled – Rs. 11,810 per month (i.e. Rs. 9735 Basic + Rs. 2075 Dearness Allowance)

Above minimum wages are applicable for all scheduled employment other than Agriculture. Following is the list of employment schedules of Madhya Pradesh (MP) for which the above salaries are applicable –

Bone Mills, Blanket Manufacturing, Cement pole or manufacture of Cement products, Brick Kilns, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Cotton Ginning and Pressing, Bone Mills, Blanket Manufacturing, Cement pole or manufacture of Cement products, Brick Kilns, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Cotton Ginning and Pressing, Constructions, and maintenance of Irrigation works, Food Products (including cakes, biscuits, confectionary, Ice-cream & Ice-candy, Beverages), Engineering IndustryFuel Coke, Forest and Forestry, Handloom Industry, Khandsari Industry, Katha Industry, Lime Kiln, Kosa Industry, Local Authority, Plastic Industry, Oil Mills, Potteries including manufacture of refractory goods, fire bricks, sanitary works, insulators tiles (excluding those made from cement) stone wire pipes, furnace lining. Murra Peha, Power Loom (including sizing and processing), bricks & other ceramic goods, Public Motor Transport, Printing Press, Ramraj or Geru, Construction and maintenance of Roads and building operation, Rice Mill, Floor Mill, or Dal Mill, Shop,Commercial establishment, Residential Hotel and Theatre, Saw Mill, Stone breaking or stone crushing, Tiles Manufactory (excluding Cement titles), Tobacco (including beedi making Manufactory), Any Establishment in which manufacturing activity as defined under section 2 (K) of the Factories Act is carried out and is not covered under any of the other scheduled employments.

For Agriculture, the minimum wages are Rs. 6640 for the unskilled category.

Daily Minim Wages in MP for Shops & Commercial Establishments and other schedules

To arrive at madhya pradesh daily wages for all the above specified schedules, the monthly minimum wages can be divided by 26. Following are the MP daily wages –

Un-skilled – Rs. 318

Semi Skilled – Rs. 351

Skilled – Rs. 404

Highly Skilled – Rs. 454

These wages are applicable for the first half of FY 2020-2021. Next revision in MP minimum wages will be done w.e.f. 1 October 2020.
